Private Networks
Vehicle networks and protocols have evolved greatly over the years. In the beginning simple module to module communication was the norm. With the advent of the CAN communication protocol, networks grew in size and complexity. In recent years, new communication protocols and busses have been added to reduce network congestion. In most cases, these networks are accessible through the vehicles DLC. To the address security of high-priority module to module communication, private communication networks are now used by manufacturers. These networks are not directly accessible through the DLC
