LIN is a low-cost communication protocol used by many manufacturers for systems that do not require high speed data. On a LIN BUS we may find as few as two modules, or there may many modules, and there may be several LIN BUS networks on the same vehicle. Technicians will need to understand how a LIN BUS functions and how they can go about diagnosing faults with these networks.
